Having a problem with my Kenmore dryer, I called Sears months back, had it repaired, no problems. The guy was here fixing the dryer and proceeds to try to sell my this home warranty plan through Sears...cost was reasonable, and knowing appliances, etc., are now aging, we bought the plan.

SEARS is not the company you are dealing with - BE AWARE!

The "Cross Country" home service is a JOKE...they could really care less about your lack of heat, cooling, etc. They take their good old time...not worth the money. I'm done...and calling the BBB even though they are not a member...I hope they close this company down.

And Sears should be ashamed of themselves, we never thought we would be dealing with this outfit, thought we were dealing with Sears.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Location: Hubbard, Ohio

Same thing happened to me 12/26. I have a leak in my copper water lines.

Cross Country told me the problem was improper grounding. They sent 2 plumbers. I told them the house was inspected by the city inspector and the grounding was correct. The city inspector came back out and verified the leaks were not the result of improper grounding.

Sears who actually uses scam company Cross Country denied the claim.

The whole warranty is a scam! I am now taking the money I paid for 2 warranties and putting it in a personal savings account.
